Displaying 24 varied compositions, depicting a multiplicity of entangled bodies delicately floating in an underwater world, Rogers finds the perfect balance between the abstract, wild and classical. Each limited edition print draws inspiration from the splendour of 1920's Parisian circus and the romantic wonder of the Moulin Rouge. The extravagant scenes, captured during a unique shoot in Las Vegas, enlisted the help of some of the world’s premiere performance artists; dance masters, synchronized swimmers, aerialists, pole dancers and actors.

ÉLAN: French for vigour, spirit, and an enthusiasm typically revealed by assurance or brilliance of performance, is a fitting title for Christy Lee Rogers' debut body of work for The Outsiders this June. Contrasting bold ostentatious costumes with serene otherwordly movement, Rogers' astute images capture light and energy within the translucent space evoking a sense of wild abandonment and liberation.
